A Warner leaseholder was asked to pay £13,000 towards a £26,000 bill for roof repairs this month. But Circle Housing Group, who served the Section 20 notice earlier this month, have now cancelled it after conceding that responsibility for maintenance lies with the leaseholder, according to the lease.
It seems incredible that a major player in leasehold mangement failed to do something as elementary as checking the remit of their responsibilities. Just as mind-boggling is the estimated cost of the work which is more than three times a typical estimate of £5-8,000 for a Warner roof.
