The Jumble Trail will take place on Sunday 21st September 2014 10am-3pm. in the mile around St James Street Station. Front gardens will become stalls selling bric-a-brac, crafts, clothes, cakes etc. If you live in the area it’s a great opportunity to find a new home for stuff you never use. For everyone else its a great opportunity for bargain hunting and meeting neighbours. And as it happens, getting more involved in Big Local.
A National Lottery funded initiative to rejuvenate the St James Street area, Big Local has been pledged £1m over 10 years. But the community has to decide how to spend it together in order to draw down the cash. The Jumble Trail is one of many events to raise awareness and draw people into consultations. So if stallholders ask you a few questions about how you’d like to spend £1m, that’s why!
