This year the Warner Estate and its history is featured in several Art Trail events. The E17 Art Trail, now in its 10th year, runs for two weeks from 31st May to 15th June.
W.E: The Ex-Warner Project is a fascinating photography and audio exhibition at the former Warner Rent Office, 2A Rushbrook Cres, open Thursday – Sunday, 12-7pm, or by appointment. A talk about the project will be held at St Michael and All Angels Church Hall, Northcote Road on Friday 6th June at 7.30pm.
The project has even organised two Warner photography walks. The first sets out from the station florists at St James Street Station on Sunday 8 June at 2.30pm, led by Neil Houghton from the Walthamstow Historical Society, with Katherine Green and Lucy Harrison. The second meets at the corner of Markhouse Road and Sybourn Street and is a walk through Leyton led by David Boote from the Leyton & Leytonstone Historical Society with Lucy Harrison.
